I am the detritus of
a life half lived
half dreamed
left behind
crumpled paper
discarded bottles
in colours of cherry
and grey
strewn across
decades of promised
horizons
hair ribbons
buttons
broken necklace chains
pens without ink
life without breath
I am the detritus
of a life half-lived
in the shadows
for jusjojan: detritus brought to you by me!

this is beautifully written …. despite the sadness and weight of the message; it’s elegant and extremely poignant
and just because, eh? (((((Lorraine)))))
