This being hallowscream month, the retro channels I watch are running binge-worthy events. Like Comet’s “Monster Week” from the X-files. Watching the episode, “Post-Modern Prometheus” (episode 5.5), I was reintroduced to Mark Cohn’s “Walking in Memphis” (the Cher version was key to episode’s rewritten happy ending )

Orginally, this Monday (now it’s early Wednesday morning) was to be about Chris de Burgh and the influence his “Spanish Trains and Other Stories” had on my own creativity (no, not writing music). But, I didn’t quite get that post together, so I’ll put a Chris de Burgh song from another album as place holder.

To round out musical musings, Joan Baez’s “Diamonds and Rust” is on my “mood music” playlist.

And yes memories bring me “diamonds and rust” . . .
