This musical monday’s musings arise from Youtube suggestions.

While “Aqualung” isn’t my favourite Jethro Tull tunes, this recently released video is stunning.

Narrowing down a manageable bite of Gordon Lightfoot is difficult. So many of his songs are evocative; I wore the grooves out on my Summerside of Life album. However, I’ve chosen “Canadian Railroad Trilogy;” as I’ve feeling nostalgic for my trips by train.

Gordon always reminds me of another Canadian troubadour: Murray McLaughlin. I chose “A Thompson Day,” because Tom Thompson is a favourite artist. And, it shows McLaughlin as he looks now – we all age . . .
