The mlmm Friday music prompt #188 “Standing on the Moon” made me think of other musical “moon” references. Such as CCR’s “Bad Moon Risin’”; REM “Man on the Moon,” David Bowie, “Moonage Daydream,” and Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon”

One quirky item I came upon was the “Dark Side of the Rainbow” theory whereby if the Pink Floyd album, Dark Side of the Moon is played simultaneously with the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz, the action in the movie syncs up with various song lyrics.

There is a home movie of one of my husband’s cousins wedding and reception which syncs up perfectly with songs from the Beatles Sargent Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. I thought it was an apocryphal family legend until I watched and listened.
