First, watch:
“Neon nights: the living art of fireflies – in pictures, “The Guardian, November 17, 2020
Photographer Kei Nomiyama captured dreamy, long-exposure images of fireflies in the mountains of Shikoku Island – the smallest of Japan’s four main islands
The captions for the slides are “cut and paste” from the article. I would love to experience this!
Next, watch synchronistic and other fireflies dazzle in a “virtual” firefly watch in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park held on June 1, 2020

ahhh so magical and dreamy ….
I’d be so stunned and bowled over … like you, I’d love to have such a thrilling experience …. to be “swarmed” as such ….. makes me dizzy just thinking about it!
great way to bring a smile and cheery light and hope to our dull days now that fall is here …. it’s all rather bleak and dreary …. so 3 cheers for the dancing light!

Isn’t it amazing. I never realized that fireflies happened outside of North America!
Glad it brought you a smile and some cheery light. Here’s to the dance of the fireflies; may they always light the way.
