🎃 October 27 🎃
🐈⬛October 27 is Black Cat Day🐈⬛
But, if you’re thinking of giving a shelter black cat a “forever home,” October is not the month. Many shelters don’t allow for adoptions due to the mistreatment of black cats before, and the abandonment of, after Halloween.
Some black cat lore from The Spruce Pets
your night be something to howl about!

peek-a-boo (quick flash by as I needed to check for something in email, which is an aside)
personally, I love Black cats! although I’ve never owned a fully black one …. but I don’t see/buy into the superstitions or lore or myths etc. …. to me, they are just as lovely and wonderful as any others (except perhaps hairless, but that’s just a personal preference) …. and the only “drawback” I could foresee is “trying to find one in the dark” – LOL — having an almost fully black dog, and trying to “see” her in the night, whether outside or in etc. can be a bit of a problem ….. lots of hands out flailing and calling, and since cats are usually more temperamentally independent than dogs …. Ahem …. well …. LOL …. but apart from that? No reason to NOT love a Black Cat. Besides, their just cool.
And I should correct my first statement ….. one does not “own” cats …. they “own” their people …. or as they refer to us, the 2-leggeds ;)
Have a wonderful day and I’ll try to catch you closer to the end of the week or on the weekend my friend — the “semi-madness” continues, but we’re making “sane” progress …. 😲

Glad you’re making some sane progress through the current s*it storm of madness.
I like black cats too. Russian Blues (which really look black to me) have interesting temperaments. None of my cats have been black, and way funny thinking of trying to find one in the dark. Never thought of that before! Yes, I remember a big black Newfoundland dog used to visit us when we lived at the end of a road. There was a small wooded area and the dog lived beyond it. And, no, we didn’t always seem him at night when he dropped by. Our cat was never impressed!
And yes, we never own a cat — dogs, yes, cats, no.
Shoot off an email when ever. No rush.
