Welcome to my nightmare! Countdown to howlin’en: 31 virtual pod-peoplecasts

As a “taste” of the gruesome ghoulishness to come, here is a sampling of tv channels (cable and streaming) who have something spooky, oooky, and down-right creepy wrapped up for your viewing pleasure.

So, pop the popcorn, sprinkle with eye of newt, and let the weredog in, and enjoy:

“Come little children, we’ll take you away…to a land of enchanting and eerie movies. (Sorry, Sarah Sanderson. We COULDN’T resist.) 31 Nights of Halloween starts October 1st, and we’ve cooked up a new spell-binding line-up. So, concoct the spirits of your choice, and let us cast a spell on you all October long.”

“Peter Cushing joining the TCM Star of the Month roster for October is fitting since this is the period leading up to Halloween, and the British actor has been credited as transforming horror movies into an art form.”

His horror films are highlighted on October 19 and 26. And, in October, TCM is running:  Fright Favorites Fridays

Check out the Criterion Channel (movies), haunt Huluween (on Hulu), or zombify on AMC.

Some pretty comprehensive lists of things howlin’enish: Halloween Specials and Searching for Halloween (focus on 2020 offerings in multiple medias), or Wikipedia’s films set around Halloween and list of Halloween television specials/special episodes.

There’s always the 31 episodes of The Simpson’s Tree House of Horror. Which is your favourite?
