butterflies
so easy to give them what they want
puppies and kittens
the ubiquitous, predictable black and white blobs of ink
mother and child embracing
I see them in vibrating, gyrating colour
sunshine on a lake
the skin peeled back
more butterflies
ripe, pulsating fruit of heart
balloons
skeletal pelvis beckons
baby pandas
blue veined blood leaking
child playing with puppy
so deliciously inked
kittens and butterflies
well stained on my memory
baby pandas eating puppies
ooppss . . .
for mlmm sunday writing prompt: Rorschach Test

Actually, I see a pear burst open, revealing it’s seeds, with juices spattered.
Two green worms are at the bottom, and in the middle, two yellow banana slugs (yes, they do exist in Vancouver, BC) are checking out the scene.
I love how every person has a slightly different idea!

I see the Eiffel Tower, then a priest’s cassock with outstretched hands holding a prayer book, then birds, then crabs, then a birth canal …. and on and on …. LOL – I think my “best before date” has long expired!
I like how you’ve played with this … and deliberately left it ambiguous enough to be be suggestive … and then the “oops” – sorry, but that’s hilarious! And well and clever, alludes to the mind naturally slipping into dimensions/aspects we often don’t want to reveal or even consider …

Yes. I’ve never done a Rorschach test. Only read/seen it used in various ways. I love the colour in this one, and your interpretation. No one sees quite the same thing . . . what does it reveal about the workings of our minds. If you are past your best before date, then I must have reached “when potato salad goes bad” (Gary Larson’s version). smiling with a silly lop-sided grin, winking, and bouncing.

roflmao @ the Gary Lawson notation …. so is this a stick up??
sorry, I can’t stop laughing, — this has TOTALLY made my morning and quite possibly my day … in the best of ways!
As for Rorschach tests, I vaguely have the idea that I once saw one framed on a psychiatrist’s wall, … which given the situation at the time, I thought was rather ominous – but then, the guy was a complete asshole.

I probably mentioned that I used Gary Larsen cartoons when teaching and running workshops and tutorials. Some are forever in my mind museum of art.

LOL — well, they are most often, rather pointedly ingenious. ;) or … genius.

Love the way everyone sees something different. I saw banana slugs, rather than sea slugs — love the oceanic nature of your vision.

Funny isn’t it the first thing I saw was two seahorses 💜💕

I love seahorses! I have seen them in tanks, but never been scuba diving or snorkeling. Such exquisite creatures with very interesting habits.

Yes they are lovely, very occasionally we see them washed up on the beach. 💜
