this is just delightfully macabre and tickles my fancy …. you’ve definitely walked into the “night/day” horrors, the mind games, of King! :D
and yeah, like hey, the original movie should be more than enough to scary the absolute be-jitters out of anyone …. I say, “bah” to the new. Let the old one lie as it will. (it still gives me nightmares, all these years later)

Haven’t looked at anyone’s family pet the same since reading the book. I agree so often the remake is a retread dressed up with CGI.
I do get Kingian ( not Kligonian, 🙃😊) or Poe-ish by times. It is wicked fun.
