In my little house under a willow tree, I brought my fresh cup of steaming coffee and cream back to the table, ready to write my tall tale. Sitting in my chair at the kitchen table/desk, was a gremlin-like creature. All snaggley teeth, spiky hair, monovalent blood-shot eyes, and long, raggedy taloned fingers.
Excuse me,” I harrumphed, at the usurpation of my spot.
“Just doing some tweaking,” the gruesome creature retorted, “Your lap top has been working far too well of late. “
Before I could respond, it hit “Enter” and with an evil laugh, disappeared into my hard drive.

Ah yes m’dear you’ve got to careful under willows – not quite Feng Shui for humans but gremlins love the willow especially the old ones! Loved your tall tale dear and I’ve had to do with my share of laptop gremlins in my day — which is why I prefer my desktop ;-) .

Great tall tale Lorraine, those gremlins have some bad habits don’t they…

They certainly do — and my coffee got cold in the process.

I knew they were out there! Laptop goblins and imps, making sure that things go wrong as often as possible.
Clever tale. Love it.

Thanks — I’ve had my share of gremlins and imps so it was fun to tell a tale about them.
