She’d warned the Montgolfier brothers about their hot air drone hanging about her back yard. Especially when she was sun bathing. In the nude. Next time, she’d get them where it hurt. Little did they know she was now the high altitude archery/ bayonet/rifle champion.

Wrote itself — so much in the news these days about drones and invasion of privacy. I saw the hot air balloon first, then the rest of the painting.

I enjoyed where you went with this…I remember having archery in school… I don’t think they teach that in ‘Gym’ anymore. Though I know a few schools still have air rifle competitions.

Our most adventurous sport in gym was cross-country running and then, snowshoeing the same course in winter.

Not enough snow here for showshoeing…as a sport, maybe in the northern part of my state and more northern states in general.

I grew up in Canada — where there is rarely a lack of snow somewhere. Smiling.

I was born in a southern state and mostly live where there wasn’t a whole lot of snow. If one wanted to ski other snow sports they needed to travel further north than were I was ;)

I think it’s interesting you learned archery in gym. I don’t know if air rifles were ever apart of Canadian gym classes, tho we always enter “shooting” types in the Olympics.

Air rifles were an after school club. While we have many high schools that participate in soccer, baseball, basket- ball and even swimming plus.
While my children were in High School there were only six schools that had rifle clubs.
I had archery when I was in school, I don’t think my children had that as an option.

Ha! You go, girl! Loved this. I don’t imagine that’s exactly what the painter had in mind, but whatever he did have in mind baffles me.

Let’s hope it was a strange nightmare he had after eating too much before bedtime.
