I dreamed of you again last night
as soldiers against diabolists
with seething prayers of exulansis
fanfare, muted.
or was it your likeness
with me in escape?
fingernails, carved stone
doors till they bled
with brown waters rising.
adroitly your body
swam, lungs on fire
oxygen the accelerant
nothing to soften the
exquisite pain of drowning.
I [polite] in my sorrow
sign the papers
announcing your [messy]
death.

Thank you — once again the two wordles and the picture meshed. Created a strange poem, so I wasn’t sure it would work. Thanks for the encouragement.

Thanks — the image just went so well with your word list, supplemented by the Sunday whirl.

This is certainly a unique and skillfully written piece of writing. Having never been much of a swimmer, I could almost feel that “lungs on fire” feeling.

Thanks. I know that lungs on fire feeling — it’s a scary one.
I have trouble with blogspot– long story, or I would visit your blog.

We all have our dark sides — mine slips out every now and then to play — but not with ropes.

I’m sitting with the images and letting them soak in, which is why I have nothing more to add to this, at the moment …. but it’s definitely a very rich piece …. heavy, wordy, but not in a bad way or anything.

Pushing it, I think, to try and make a post. One of those, should I really click publish.

that’s okay – sometimes, it’s just what needs to be done …
