Linda says: “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: in/out.” Use one, use both, use ’em any way you’d like. Enjoy!”
If you don’t like insects don’t read this. Like Linda I have ants, lots of ants, year round ants because they live IN our walls. Not outside shivering through winter. Not outside drowning in spring rains. No, all cozy in the insulation looking for the tiniest spot we haven’t taped, caulked, barricaded. Doesn’t matter – they come out of the wall plugs, in between floor boards, through window ledges, along wainscoting, up the plumbing pipes, infiltrate cupboards. All to annoy me. Because all our food is in plastic bags or bins, they gather under things on the floor, so when I pick up my shopping bag and 50 run for it, I’ll scream. If you get the out-layers, the outriders, the out-runners, they can’t bring in the info on where the next invasion spot will be. So I creep around the house, inside and out, looking for lone ants, and go in for the kill. I’m bound for ant hell, I’m sure. Just like I’m going to earwig hell. But that’s another soc.
